I called direct tv and told them to cancel my subscription, I was told that they are still negotiating... its not a sure thing yet

im a tech for comcast we still have speed and we display caller id on the tv if you have our phone service and our internet is the best not sayin it cause i work for them i have all 3 lines of business at my house and it works flawlessly for me cant speak for everyone else tho

Last year Dish Network pulled this same shit. THOUSANDS of subscribers changed cable providers because of it. I had Dish for nearly 5 years and didn't really want to deal with another company, and had HOURS of saved Movies/Shows etc that I didn't want to lose.... Dish Offered me a Huge credit, nearly getting a year for free! The few shows I missed on Dish I was able to catch them on ITunes. A few weeks later they had FX and Speed back in the line up........They do this shit to renegotiate what they have to pay the networks..........
If you threaten to cancel your service, you'd be surprised what they offer you!

I have had direct tv for the past 6 years. I just dropped them and had AT&T come out on Thursday of last week. So far I'm pretty happy with the set up. Lots of options and features that direct tv does not offer.
