Hey I'm looking to remove some black paint that was used to paint some chrome svt wheels. Any suggestion on what to use without damaging the chrome underneath, most of it comes off pretty easy but I'm looking to see if I can use some type of remover or chemical. To make the process quicker. Please lmk. Thanks.

I'd think that a pressurized hose would do the trick. I dont think paint can stick to chrome very well unless it was VERY well prepped. good luck!

take 000 or 0000 steel whool to them. Ive cleaned up a lot of chrome parts over the years, including a set of cobras r's i used to have. It doesnt scratch the chrome at all and they have packeges of them at ace for 5 bucks. Just dont do anything rougher than 000.

spray" goof off "on the paint that will lift that shit right off the chrome, might even just come clean off the wheel [patriot] speaking from experience i had a set off black rims that i had to repaint and i used goof off to help get the old paint off,and i was surprised how easy it came off" try it on one wheel and see how it works [patriot]

Hes right, what I've done is put good off in a cup and get a paint brush and brush it on,it comes off easy, just have to keep on applying clean goof off,it's messy but works, rags take longer and a waste of rags,do it out side or protect the ground, and buy the gallon size goof off at home depot
