Do you guys really believed it happened? I don't know what to think it's strange that our technology has advanced immensely since the late 60's yet we haven't been back.

Just haven't been back because we used all the money on the Shuttles. I believe we went there, They have hundreds of pounds of moon rocks and the mirror they set up to measure the exact distance from the earth to the moon could have only been set up by a human being, no machines back then could have done it so accurately and it was right after the first moon walk that we knew the EXACT distance to the INCH of how the moon is.

NASA only get so much in their budget, they aren't the Federal Government where they can just create money they have to get money approved from the Federal Government first.

I always crack up at people who think the moon landing was faked. Usually they're the same people who never crack open a book.
Quit watching videos on youtube and read some books on what was accomplished that proves we were on the moon. The Russians even landed two remote rovers on the moon. Look up Lunakhod 1 and 2.
Like WildFire532FB said, the main reason we haven't been back is because of money. The Apollo missions began being canceled in 1970, just a year after landing on the moon. The last mission to be canceled, Apollo 18 was canceled in 1971. What was happening in 1971? Landing on the moon had become "routine," and the public began losing interest. Before Apollo 11, the first mission to land on the moon, you had Apollo 1-10, before that, the Gemini program which had 10 manned launch missions and 2 unmanned launches. Before that you had the Mercury program which had 21 unmanned test launches and 6 manned launches. Launching men into space didn't seem like a magical feat anymore. Also, in 1971, we were dumping massive amounts of money into a little war called Vietnam. Nixon couldn't fund both NASA and Vietnam, so NASA lost out.

The future of space exploration will be unmanned. It's cheaper, easier and the data received will be just as good...if not better. The same thing will eventually happen to military combat aircraft.
Oh, and while computer technology has improved over the past 40 years...propulsion technology has not.
