Topic: how do u get sponsors? an not AA sponsors

im looking to get sponsored by some people/shops/manufacturers. my only question is how does someone go about getting these sponsors? i plan on turning one of my cars into a full time drag/drift car. i kno im not going to land any sponsorships by afr or trickflow but shit i have to start somewhere and i will take any type of sponsorship.

Frist you have to have a car that is built for what ever class your going to run sec is you have to go out an make a name for yourself in said automotive sport then you can think of someone willing to give you money to race

im trying to basically get a base start with one or a couple sponsors so i can achieve the goal of competing in both drag/drifting! as far as motor works parts,me an my boy already have spoke about that.we plan on puting together a for the most part "stock" motor with sum real good goodies an look for suspension,welding,tire sponsors! its sumthing im really serious about.

Drag racing an drift are to worlds apart you are going to be able to one or the other.an you have to go make a name for yourself no business is going to give parts or money if haven't no shit yet

Time to check into reality. It's either drag or drift or separate cars. To be sponsored, you have to be professional and a good model for the company. Using Beezie and other slang is sure to get you nowhere. Lil RIC will never be sponsored. Maybe Richard so and so will be, but not a racer with a rappers name. And lastly, you will have to spend a lot of your own $$ and hit up basically all of the events in the class your going to race in. Sponsorships are usually like a contract, your obligated to attend a certain # of events, and commit to other forms of advertising.

thanks for the advice but lil ric is just a nick name. my dads name is ricardo also so i dnt see a problem wit ricardo "lil ric" so on!i more than likely would like to have a drag car an hitting alot of events wouldnt be a problem for me!an thanks bz! im playing wit u. ![[Wink]](wink.gif)
