Anybody got one. I just picked up one and wow it's fast. The Traxxis Nitro Rustler 2.5. It's suppose to go 50 mph. I don't even use full throttle most of the time. I didn't realize all of the tuning required for one of these. I guess I should have gotten a beginner car, but I am having fun any how. Where is there to go race these things in Sac? I have a T-Maxx and an RC10 GT haven't ran either of them in almost 2 years. Go to a construction site where they just smooth out dirt.
business parking lots at night or whenever no cars are there.

Damn, those are nice. I heard about those rock crawlers and how realistic the suspension is. You should post a vid.

I race touring cars and 1/10 stock offroad at www.roadrunnersrc.com in camarillo.
I race a team kit TC4 and a factory team kit T3
I've got a crawler that I'm building too, but mines a lot more basic, it's a TLT with locked axles, t-maxx links/shocks, and RS4 MT dog bones, running an old t-maxx HPI Bronco body for now, but will probably switch to a F100 truck soon

I love these rc cars those crawlers r sick I'd like to build one, that track at prairie city is the shit. I have tc 3 with an O.S. 18, Losi mega bug .26, MGT 8.0 that is stupid fast wheelie machine, hpi mt2, a traxxas car with a 3.3, forget what it's called, and a team asociated boat, that thing is a blast. I've had my eye on the new 1/5 scale hpi baja 5T the thing is a beast with a gas weed wacker 26cc engine and a serious suspension but a 1300 bucks it's hard to justify why I need it with the wife

i have a electric 1/10th scale HPI rs4 pro3 with some ol skool electronics, no brushless yet, but car is still pretty quick...i also have a HPI rs4 mt but currently not running.
i just play with it in parking lots or on the street. the local hobby store i go to has a lil drift track looks interesting but not really my cup of tea. i use to like goin to the parking lot events that the hobby store had where they would race around a lil circuit but that was years ago and i dont know where they have that anymore

I am still trying to tune my damn car. I didn't realize all the crap you have to go through in order to just get your car to run normally. What is the place called?

I almost got the gas powered fastback. The only reason I didn't was because I wasn't sure about just staying on concrete.

If you are new to R.C. cars and trucks it's best you start out with electric. that way you do not have to worry about tuning etc. They have some really fast electric cars and trucks that will go just as fast if not faster than the nitro powered ones. Check out the traxxas models like the rustler vxl, stampede vxl and the bandit vxl. you can type these names on youtube to see a vid to get an idea how fast these things go. be sure to include vxl in your search otherwise you will get the slow version of these cars and trucks.
