Topic: i need to buy a press but i need to know the diameter of a stock pinion

the opening on the press i am looking at is 4 1/4" is a stock mustang pinion bigger then that? someone anyone??

It's going to be dependent on the gear set. 4.10's are around 3", while 2.73's look like a dinner plate. It only needs to be pressed about 3" to get the bearing off, so a set of blocks and a bearing splitter are all that's needed.

i know any aftermarkets will clear but i guess i am over thinking this. i have done the plates like that before. i seen a press at harbor freight on sale so i was looking to jump on it.
