Well Saturday afternoon some kids from the down stairs knocked on my door,said I have a ticket on my car. So I go and check its a ticket for tinted windows and no front plate. They gave me the ticket at 6:30 Am.In front of were I live. Can they do that? Has anyone else have this happen to them? I think this is krazy.

yea they can, because its parked on the street..If it was in your driveway, different story. but damn, thats F***ed up! You may be able to fight it if its worth your time, saying that the car doesnt get drivin on the street. Im sure you can make up a legitamate story. It'll be up to the judge though. nah driveway cant protect it...unless the driveway is gated/locked...and besides, if the cars plate is visible and so is the infraction...the ticket can always be mailed lol

a few years ago I worked at the district office for a high school district doing IT work, one day a cop came by and gave tickets in the district office parking lot to all of the cars with tint or no front plates.
I thought it was hilarious, probably had a kid in one of the schools or something.

Police normally do this on slow nights... they will give tickets to no front plate,tint,registration issues...

I got one downtown Sac, I was parked at one of those crooked ass parking meters. I set my phone alarm to give me a 10 min warning, I was at the car in like 2 min leaving me 8 min, the meter was expired and I had a ticket. They got me for expired meter, no front plate and expired registration. The bullshit part was my registration expired the 31st and it was like the 28th so they just assumed it was expired and tossed that on the ticket too..... damn meter maids trying to play cop.

So weak for cops to do this I guess to keep there ("performance goals") up there forced to, I'm sure from the pressure of the mayor the town. it's funny because there suppose to protect and serve the community . Instead it's a way to collect money and keep revenue high, even some cops admit to this but have no choice .

They usually send you a courtesy notice in mail about the ticket 2-3 weeks after.
