I love college sports and I am a proponent to these kids getting paid for their exploits on the field. But this kids dad is a P.O.S! Pimpin his kid out to the highest bidder. No regard for the term "Student-Athlete" or what the kid wants to major in. And may just cost the kid the Heisman. I mean the kid is gettin recruited by every college in the land. And the dad is gonna stick his bid in saying "someone give me 200k and my kid will attend your school". WTF! That dad needs his ass kicked.

Yea playa is screwed, but only in regards to the heisman. He will still go 1st pick in the draft. What really sucks is nothing will be found out until he is maybe 2 years into the NFL. Then they will drop sanctions on Auburn that will hurt kids that were in highschool when this happened.
But his dad is a turd.

I think he will still win the Heisman his a badass player...but if they find proof or anything when his already in the NFL..the same thing is gona happen to him. And Auburn that happend to Reggie at USC...there gona strip his Heisman and put auburn on probation and hella other shit because USC is fucked for a good 3 Years

I've been following this story too and I agree to a certain extent to pay these kids but what about the free education their getting that compensates alot. They should be given daily foo vouchers, gas cards, ect... But if you strt paying football players women sports are gonna want the same and there needs to be equality. And no he won't go number 1 in the draft I think he might not even go in the first round. His college skill set doesn't look like they transfer over to the NFL Andrew luck is better Jake locker is better and the guy from Arkansas are all rated higher than cam newton

You would be surprised how much a scholarship does not cover. I had a full ride D1 scholly and still ended up with debt after Uni. The money these BCS schools make off of a Reggie Bush is astronomical and pale in comparison to giving these kids like a extra 1500-2k a month for incidentals. Its a known gap that is why they even really have boosters and these people who fill the gaps. But it wont hurt Cam it will hurt the kids that come after him.
