I finally decided it was time to step things up a notch. Thanks to my buddy Aaron "Stangs R Us", I have a new bucket o' parts in the garage for the coupe.

Aaron gave me a great deal on this Paxton Novi 1000 kit. Its 100% ready to bolt up, & all I will need is injectors, maf, & a better fuel pump. I still have to fix a few things on my car before this all goes on, & it will most likely be after Xmas before i do so, but after that we will see how long I can get my hypereutectic bottom end to last with some boost.

I plan on running a stock pulley until I can afford to build a forged motor, but I figure with my 300 rwhp HCI setup, this should make for a pretty fun car. I know its just a lil' Novi 1000, but it should make plenty enough power for me, & I think i might have a shot to run with my buddy 50 deep now LOL...

I guess a nice set of DR's better be my next purchase because traction will most likely be an issue LOL...

Thanks again Bro [patriot]

Thanks guys, I can't wait, but i will have to wait until after Xmas at least, but Im in no rush & I want it all done right. I still need to fix a few BS issues like oil & exhaust leaks, but after that, it should be all good...

BTW, Im not too sure if i want to run this HKS blow off valve? I really don't want my stang sounding like an import, plus I thought I heard something about this making the car lose boost, or making it run funny, or is that if its placed before the MAF??? Sorry if that sounds like a noob question, but I really don't know much about blower setups?

Dustin, You will want to run a B.O.V. atmospherically. It will help with belt toss, and most importantly, allow for the boost in the charge pipe to realease faster so less will force its way into the motor after a w.o.t. stab. Dont know about the hks, but i know the greddy type r works great with blower combos.

BTW...

I plan on running 42# injectors, a T rex inline pump, & I already have a 255lph in-tank, but I am unsure what MAF I will run because the car will be untuned for a little while until i can afoord to go up to AED. I have a C&L that I use with my 24# injectors, but I'm not too sure how well it will work with the 42's if I go the 42# sample tube route?

If you have a blow thru maf and the bov is placed before the maf you shouldn't have any problems.

Shit he will easily eclipse 11's no problem.

Yeah D you dont want that turbo blow off. But one of the Vortech max flow blow off valves are like $260. So probably just run it for awhile until you buy the right one.

I'd highly suggest selling that unit and starting with a Vortech! If not, I'd bet that will not last a year on your car. Those are very similar to the SN89's and I personally saw a the SN's and two of those go out. BAD years for the fox body Paxtons, minus the Novi2k. They used the Novi name to try and get some credit back but basically the same units, goodluck.

Thanks for the advice. well see how long it lasts. The blower seems to be in great shape, & I know for a fact that the car this came off of was in the 11's. I drive the car once or twice a month so it should last a while...

nice box of goodies you got there man. i'm running a lil novi 1000 as well. with your hci setup, this blower can make more than enough power to split the block if you want to up the boost.

Don, ur a idiot! Vortech s-trim does not compare to this blower! i used to own this blower along with many s-trims, t-trim, etc....this kit comes STOCK with a 8 rib setup, 3/4" thick mounting plate and runs a bigger pulley than a s-trim to make the same boost! the novi1000 is better than the s-trim, quieter operation and rated at more cfm and can withstand higher boost levels.. when this kit was mine i ran this with ONLY H/C/i and trapped 125mph with the stock bypass valve!

dustin dont listen to people who have no clue what they are talking about.. ur car will be the 4th car this blower has been on and all have been mid 11 second cars with bolt ons only..all were stock 302 shortblocks! NOVI ftmfw!
