bout a pn50c650 not too long ago....
leave it all on all the time, and keep the brightness nad contrast down for 100 hours or so. get yourself a THX certified DVD or Blu Ray, whatever source youll be using. Calibrate the tv off the disc menu...

DVD is nice. Blue Ray is the shit of course. I like plasmas cuz the picture is more realistic, LCD look too sharp fake almost. And the viewing angle and plasmas are the shit with zero motion issues you can sometimes see, even with a 240hz set (led).

Biggest thing IMO is glare. One has glare due to glass screen. So you should consider how bright the room is and viewining angle.
As for store, Costco has good deals I have found good deals at Walmart too. I bought one at best buy recently and was able to haggle them down a few 100.

Wal-mart actually has some pretty good televisions. Vizio being are number one sellers.. Don't really have plasma anymore. But are new line of the LCD tvs we got in are priced pretty well. Everything from LG to Sony and to samsung. All seem best bang for buck depending on budget. 10% discount off the prices not bad either for associate discount! Practically taxes! Lol

I always shop at best buy just because if you get warranty there , they will just give you a new one if it breaks.. but im going to go check out wallmart aswell

Oh yea forgot to mention.. Tv's have a 3 month return policy no questions asked! So basically if shit breaks or just don't love it. U can bring it back with receipt and box... Shit. walmart takes anything back.. Well at least at the Richmond store! Lol

for one I always lead with I saw a better deal somewhere else. Then I always try to get a free warranty. You will be surprised how not cement prices are places. I haggle "EVERYWHERE" I go. I'm a business owner so it is something that is part of my everyday life.
