Well i have been hunting for an 03/04 cobra and found a nice redfire one that i was going to aquire this morning. I had contacted Shaun last friday about squeezing me in for a compression test monday and he said to give Drew a call to be sure i could get in. I contacted Drew to let him know when i would be coming down and he was able to squeeze me in. Went and looked/drove the potential car over the weekend and it was in what appeared to be excellent shape. In such good shape that i was about to forgoe the compression test as long as the car passed smog. Let me tell you that i am so glad i didnt. The seller, Drew and I met up at the shop this morning and started the test with great results on cylinders 1-4. But when we got to cylinders 5-8 it got a little hairy as cylinders 6/8 had low compression. My heart sank as i thought i finally got my hands on my dream car. And i will never forget Drew saying "See a couple bucks just saved you 3 grand."
Just wanted to thank those guys for helping me out and to recommend that all you looking to purchase terminators to definitely pay a little extra to get them checked. I have looked at 4 cars at this point and each has had their own share of problems.

oh and i wish i would have done this with my lightning , test drive was great so i passed on the compression test haha big mistake bit me in the ass hard

yeah thats crazy how that worked out what did the seller say? he should drop the price and then it would be a good deal u would have a fresh car and no worries

i wonder if hes gonna lower the price / mention it to any other potential buyers or just keep tryin to sell it and not tell anyone ?

Trust me bro i will be looking at work receipts and doing another compression test once done if i dont find one before then.

Damn, good find man.
I've been looking at them lately also, and never really thought too much into getting a compression test done on them.
I figured since they were so stout they were all pretty much legit. I guess that's pretty dumb thinking of me. ![[Embarrassed]](redface.gif)

Threethirty1: yeah bro i had sprayed my 96 cobra redfire and like the color. I wouldnt mind a white or blue one but its hard enough finding one i good shape, much less the color i want

Nice save T. Although, I got a little something up my sleeve that may give your tuned and pullied Cobra a run for its moneys, not saying its going to blow your doors, but we should be shaking hands threw the finish line. But that's a few months down the road of course. I would have bought a cobra also, but insurance is just to much for me.

The compression test was not expensive. PM those guys for the pricing though.
Rodriguez this car was an 03. Same thing happened to my buddies car though with roughly the same mileage
