Im taking a math test to for a apprenticeship program. Wanted to see if anyone has took it b4? If its hard and, what kind of math should I focus on more? Its for Plumbers, Steamfitters, and Refrigeration Fitters. Union. Thanks for any help.

Never took it but I would imagine lots of units conversion and heat related and maybe slight physics. Sorry just speculating...lol. Not even sure why I posted. Other than to say I love math.

local 393? if so its kinda hard im a first year,work on fractions,decimals, its pretty much algebra bro,i took the test in 2007 and had to wait 2 years,until i got called for the class and still no work,good luck

I can't imagine it being anything hard. Probably just algebra at most. Easy stuff.

here is a sample math test from another plumbers/steamfitter apprentice program. i cant imagine yours being any different http://www.486school.com/samplemathtest.pdf
basically it multiplication, division, trigonometry, geometry, algebra, fractions....your typical high school math test. piece of cake..

Big ups to Mathematics here too.
If you are interested to know what is on it, google it and obtain some sort of test prep literature for the particular test you are planning on taking.

apprenticeship math test for the phcc is cakewalk. i passed it with ease. just brush up on basic algebra. I know on my test they also had a printout of a tapemeasure. you have to know it down to a 1/16th.
