I recently decided to sell a leapfrog learning toy on Amazon that we had sitting around the house. This was brand new in the box and working, it has an open front so you can play with it in demo mode but its completely protected in plastic. I tested it several times before shipping and packed it carefully. The lady got it and is saying "it doesn't work", that's it, nothing else other than it doesn't work. I have a feeling she's just trying to get out of the deal or something along those lines so I'm torn in this whole deal. They say I have to follow their return policy and refund her money but what the hell do I do if she switched or damaged it herself? Customer service wasn't very much help so I'm a little pissed off with the situation. I've been selling on eBay for over 10 years and have almost 300 feedback all 100% positive, never one problem or complaint about me.

No, I didn't have any pics of it, they use stock photo's on Amazon so I didn't take any. She also said it had corrosion in the battery compartment but I don't see how that was possible because it was still new in the box and working. She was bitching about it offering free shipping but then being charged, all of which I had nothing to do with. It's not like eBay where you take pics and write your own description, they use stock photos so all you do is specify a price and write a small message if you want. If I get it back and its working they said I can refund just 80%. If it comes back all jacked up I won't refund shit.

I've sold a few things on there and never had a problem other than an item being returned to me for an incorrect address of the buyer (idiot).

I've just bought/sold books on Amazon, but I did have an issue with one guy who sold me a textbook, only to find out the shipping would take between 2-15 days! WTF?? So I emailed back and forth with him, explaining I was moving and needed it for school, etc, and finally after haggling he just refunded me. The only that that sucks w/ PayPal is that even if you are refunded the full asking price by the seller, you can't recoup the 3% PayPal fee.
You can get Amazon involved as I know they have a system similar to eBay in their marketplace, I think it's a buyer resolution thing or whatnot. Good luck.

I told her to send it back but if its screwed up I'm not accepting it and if it works I'm keeping some of the money for my trouble.
