If you prep the car a little before you go then you will be ok... Are doing inside the doors? They charge around 250 per jam (last time I checked)

they had a car pained in CarCraft a few years ago at a macco/cheaper paint shop..... They said opt for extra clear so you can buff it out real good.

It came out ok....that 199 deal basically gets you in the door. Expect to come out paying about 500 if you want a fairly decent paint job. Also I would remove as many things as you can before bringing it in. Oh and be sure to wash the car well prior (maybe clay bar it too). They do very minimal prep if you opt for the base 199 deal. But my paint job did fairly well. It lasted a good 4-5 years on a car that stayed outside through all seasons.

Go for it man.
I had a hood painted recently at the San Leandro Maaco and it came out exceptionally well.

these two cars were the 199 special. the best way to get a good paint job out the deal is: you doing all the prep. That means body work, cleaning the car and removing EVERYTHING! including your good pair of rims. I would also recommend picking up a spray gun and primmering the car with some good primmer as well. Then wet sand right before you take it in. - -
for 199 its better than riding around a primer rust bucket or 3 different color car..lol.

True story,

I washed and cleaned my car getting it ready for the 199 special (this was a 66 coupe I had years back). Well on the way there I got a lil bird crap on the car. Those fools painted over the bird crap. In the end I complained and got a repaint, but the moral is: They do next to nothing on those 199 jobs. You have to pay for upgrades to ensure they dont do weird shit.
