Hi everyone, I bought this car in San Diego back in March '09 as a bone stock '96 Cobra to be used as a daily driver.
Since then, I have added the following items:
- MM Adj Lower Control Arms - MM Panhard bar - MM Full Length Subs - H&R SS Springs - 04 Cobra A-arms and spindles - Replaced nearly every bushing in the car - MGW Shifter - 18x9/18x10 Fr500s with 275-35-18/305-35-18 Nitto DR
I do plan to do the 4.30 gears and an H-pipe next. Here are a few pics. Enjoy

some clear corners would really clean up that front end. but great looking cobra with some very tasteful mods.

Super clean cobra! Those wheels really suit the car, nice combo. The rear wheels fit well. They aren't hiding under the fender like most wheels haha...I was looking for a cobra for a while. Nothing has been in the market that suited my requirements so I guess I'll keep looking.
Thumbs down on the clear corners, not a fan But some clear lenses would be awesome!
Any plans for exhaust yet? I think bassani x and some spintechs would be nice

Thanks guys!
The car will absolutely not get clear corners as I am over that fad.
I do have a BBK H-pipe sitting in the garage that I will do after the gears. Headers and cat-back will remain stock

Looking good bro! I usually hate tan/black interior but yours looks good because it's so clean! They're usually all beat up and discolored.
Don't you just love the simplicity yet aggressve look of sn95 cobras

I actually was not fond of the tan interiors but this one has definitely grown on me. No complaints here.
I'll have to set something up with JohnB pretty soon

I never understood why ford doesn't produce more black interior stangs.
Maybe it's an attempt to make those mustangs rare? Or could it be a marketing study gone wrong assuming more people favor that color?
But I agree with that interior is very clean and lately tan has also been growing on me.

Looking good Luke ...Surprised me though cause you said you would never buy another set of replica style wheels ever since you bought the BBS's.

Matt when it comes to a project car/weekend warrior, I still feel that way (as long as I can afford it of course).
But when it comes to a daily driver that sees 250+ miles per week and must get parked in Oakland daily, $2500 wheels are not in the cards

4.30s are awesome in the 4 valve 4.6s. I drove my friend's 98 cobra with them and loved it. gotta remember those motors rev pretty high.
Car looks good luke. I always did like that laser red
gotta say you're ballsy for parking it in oakland every day. Does the car have an alarm or lojack? [ July 05, 2009, 01:38 AM: Message edited by: NiftyWhiteFifty ]

I thought it was only 93 and early mustangs that were easy to steal....are the newer ones easy as well??
edit - I'm trying to find a 96-98 cobra for myself and might decide otherwise if its as easy to steal as a 5.0 [ July 05, 2009, 01:41 AM: Message edited by: 90FoX ]

Yea the foxbodies are easier to steal then the SN-95s but no car is immune. and mustangs of any kind are always a hot item.

The response is absolutely overwhelming on corral and svtperformance for 4.30/4.56 for NA DOHC cars.
Plus, with 4.10s you have to just shift into 4th at the strip.
Its getting 4.30s...

Luke man consider the 4.10's. Especially being that its a daily driver. Im tach'n 3K @ 80mph on the freeway. Riding around in your powerband gets old fast. Take mine for a ride when we get out on the cruise and see how you like it

I would go 4:30s, I had 4:10s in my 97 Cobra and it felt like a 3:55s in a fox to me.
