Topic: work project: 65 fastback shelby tribute

Started our fastback shelby tribute, this week, picked up maier racing flared rear quarters, flared front fenders, shelby apron, rear decklid kit, getting a custom 3 link with a 9 inch, unsure of the final setup for the front at this point, tko 500 (thanks johnb), 408 windsor 12:5:1 with edelbrock top end with fuel injection, going to be sitting on 315 sumitomos on tt2's and 295s for the front. she's headed to the body shop in 8 weeks to get painted viper pearl blue with grey stripes. here's the progress so far.

and last a pic of our finished project, 65 riviera 455 big block , ppg flat black, on 20' chromes ( the name I can't remember right now) getting limo tints all around and getting taken to goodguys to be put up for sale this weekend.

Sounds like a pretty sick car but I have to say I'm not a fan of the big flared fenders.
I will take that Riviera in a heartbeat though. Any idea what you will be asking for it?

So this is what u got after getting rid of the 65 coupe? If so good choice, can't go wrong with a fastback! Can't wait to see the finished piece.

No, not mine, my work's car, I just get to build and drive it before we sell it lol.

couple progress pics, setting ride height, and determining if we want to run 18 inch rims all around, got all the stock front suspension and steering cut out, mocking up the DSE 69 camaro front suspension/ats spindles with c5 corvette brakes.We also got the rear quarters cut and flared to get ready to bond on the flares.
