I am thinking on writing a Iphone app since Apple put out a new sdk that allows more stuff to be done. But I want to do something ford or mustang related. I do not have a iphone presently so I do not know what is out there already. But if you guys could have a Mustang Iphone app, which would it be? I was thinking a app that lets you try wheels on a stang? Let me know if you have any ideas.

How about an APP that lets you track how much you have spent on your stang, and a parts list complete with price hahah
Mustang themed of course.

hmmm, I am not sure if the iphone lets you write to the phone itself and store data. I will check into that. This is gonna be a learning experience for me, but that is not a bad idea.

You should be able to make your APP copy data to the notepad feature in the Iphone...at least I think.
Maybe a tab deliminated list stored in a notepad file, that when accessed by your program can pull the info off it?
Hmm

yea gonna peak at the sdk and see if that is possible. A CSV text file may work. Or store an XML file...hmm. You got me thinking now.

How about an application that lets you track your car if it gets stolen? I'll bet a lot of people would love that one.

id like one that enables the iPhone to use its GPS to figure out how long it takes to go from 0-60 or 60-120 or something like that. Maybe 1/4mile time. I have one but it uses the accelerometer which is cool but if your going slightly uphill or down hill it will mess it up

hmm, that is not a bad idea gentlemen. I would have to lean on some of you guys for the math on some of the stuff. Or maybe some of the calculations. I'll put some thought into that. I was messing around with the SDK over the weekend and it is pretty cool. I may need some beta testers with iphones as well. But ill let you know when I get to that point.

Lots of money to be made in this, just have to come up with the right app. I wanted to make a finger skateboard game but somebody already did

I was just talking to some colleagues about this. And it look like we are going to make this a in-house application. So it will be something a little more than my personal enrichment. I wanted to ask if I can hit a few of you guys up for info as needed? I am not as tight on the mechanics as most of you. Pittsburgh I have you down for a beta tester.
