I've finally got to the point where I can afford a 93 cobra. Took a while, but my wife doesn't think it's a good idea. I've been telling her that they have been going for 10k plus for years. But since the blue book doesn't reflect that she thinks it's a bad move. I already know I'm getting one, just looking for some justification on the price of the 93 cobras. If I don't get a 93 cobra I'm probably going to get a 98 and up Camaro SS. What seems like a better idea?

There has really not been much fluctuation in price in these cars.
$9-12K is the going rate. Maybe a little lower given the economy.
Keep in mind, the bay area has a 9-10% unemployment rate at the moment. People are strapped for cash and its driving prices down.
Lots of bargains out there right now.

Performance-wise an SS would win hands down unless you want to start modding a '93 Cobra.
For a garage relic that holds value the '93 wins hands down!

Now is a good time to buy. You can get good deals because more people are selling than buying.
Get one that's clean, with a clean title, and low miles. It will hold it's value.
EDIT: I doubt the SS will hold it's value like the Cobra. [ March 09, 2009, 07:15 PM: Message edited by: 92stangLX ]
