A buddy of mine is looking at opening a freestyle drift track( basically a place to do legal doughnuts). So the general breakdown is that he is rying to gain the support of local cities and P.D.'s to keep sideshows off the streets and in a controlled safe area much like a racetrack and the fun drags. the idea is to ofer two open areas guardrailed off from spectators who would be at a safe distance, with a staging lane setup much like the local dragsrip, and a set amount of time to basically "freestyle drift", then pull back around and watch or wait to go again. there will be a tire shack where he will offer various tire sizes as cheap as possible and have them mounted right there, also a conssesion stand, bathrooms bleachers, etc... Possibly offer some form of video for sale online by order of the performance from the night of participation. this is a very vague breakdown and would appreciate any feedback and or sggestions

we've been looking at where, have to do more zoning law research, the plans would be to have it somewhere that is about halfway between the bay area and sac are just that it would be a fair deive to everyone, he was even talking about the possibilty of a quarter mile strip on the property, the vision is to eventually have an all out motorsport park with the interest of the average joe, not something that requires a car with 10s of thousands of dollars to paricipate, somewhere everybody can have fun no matter what your car hobby is. i will do my best to keep everyone posted as this begins to materialize, main thing now is to see what kind of consumer base there is, keep in mind the bread and butter being a "freestyle drift"
