So I work for safeway, and during the summer they have a program in which they send employees from stores down in the valley and bay area up to lake tahoe to work for the summer because the stores up here more than double their sales in the summer months. I just got up to south lake today and got moved in to my new place for the next 8 weeks. They provide you with a rental condo to live in while your working in the store up here and pay the rent and all the utilities. All i have to worry about is buying my own food. I have two roommates and we each get our own room. They seem pretty chill so far.... here are some pics
Loaded up at my house with all my toys
Looking down the street at the condo in south lake. We're just minutes from the stateline casinos
The view from our balcony
I took up most of the garage space with my stuff since nobody else had anything to put in there.
our condo complex has it's own private dock out on the lake.
Looking back towards our condo

I have eaten a few times at fire and ice resteraunt which is close to the tram by the casino's & that huge safeway, it is all You can eat and very tasty .

My favorite places to eat in the lake are Wildflower cafe in Incline Village, Old Post Office in Crystal Bay I think, and the Sunnyside in Crystal Bay too I think.
Check out Emerald Bay and the Vikingsholm Island. Eagle Lake/Falls above that.
Beaches everywhere..
Lots of parks, the little ones usually aren't worth the fee.
Truckee River fishing or riverrafting.
You can go hiking but you should be experienced, long trails, high altitude, and animals.
Reno...of course, the casinos etc overpriced not so great food. Gambling. Check out the Wild Orchid.
You can go shooting in the desert/hills east of Carson City.
Besides that and a little more, not much to do in Tahoe. I prefer the Bay but I always gotta go up to the lake every year, got a place up there too been going there since I was a little kid.
