First off let me state that i do not really care how much gas cost, I just like to see how good of mpg i can get in my Altima.
Driving around town 20 mpg (heavy foot)
Sacramento to Tahoe and back 27 mpg (4 people in the car and bags)
Sacramento to San Fran 28 (just two people, avg 70 mph)
Natomas to Elk Grove 35.6 (drafting a semi at 65 mph)
Downtown Sacramento to Elk Grove 40.3 mpg (not drafting at 65 mph and 5 people in the car)
I am amazed by how good of mpg I can get from my car if I feel like going the speed limit.

Yeah I've found that i can get pretty close to 20mpg in my stangs, if I drive like an old lady. Unfortunately, I don't. So I'm getting 17mpg. But driving style makes a big difference.

I used to get around 21 mpg in my V6 Ranger and 23mpg in my 01 GT driving 70-80 mph on 280 when I had my old commute.
Driving style is huge when it comes to getting good gas milage.

I'm getting 18-20mpg on my 3.5 mile commute daily driving my 89, I get 25mpg in it on long highway drives at 80mph.
I get 18mpg DD'ing my 97, 25mpg going 95mph on cruise on the freeway on long trips...but it does take premium because of the DOHC swap.
best of all, I drive a mustang every day!

I gotta cruise at 60 MPH to get high 20s/low 30's on the new car. (5.3L V8) Not bad considering it's size and it being a 4spd auto.
