I'm thinking if he goes that school..the parents aren't able to or can't afford to be in a place were he could get into a better school or district.

this school is near my work (oakland kaiser)and i got a co worker with a rough a$$ kid that goes there, and i tell you i thought this kid was always outta school because he was suspended for bullying, come to find out he's always out because he was always bullied. Lunch always taken, money always taken, jumped, breakin his personals.. that kinda crap.
This is BS..
i think these bullies need to face a 3 strike type of thing, 3rd strike is BOOTCAMP. thatll straighten dey asses out.

That school is in the "nice" part of town at the top of Piedmont Ave. right next to "Piedmont". Stupid stuck up old people with their fake town in the middle of Oakland. They annoy me.

There are two problems here
a.) The kid is most likely a pussy. That is more than likely his parents fault, but being a pussy is NOT an open invitation to be a punching bag.
b.) The school is simply not protecting its kids. I was suspended twice growing up and quickly realized it was not worth it for me to fuck with other people given the consequences. Sounds like this school is not punishing the bullies to the point that they think twice about being bullies.
I hope I don't ever have to deal with some BS like this if I ever have kids.

Keep in mind I don't have kids, and when I do, I promise you I will be a lot more sensitive to this topic.
I just knew those types growing up that were always getting picked on. The school system must protect them like anyone else.

Nope...just don't understand why a 7 year old that can't take on 5th grader would be a pussy. Have you been to an elemtary school lately and seen the difference in size between 1st and 5th graders...It's a huge difference.

I hear you loud and clear. I didn't call him a pussy for not being able to take on 5th graders. Bullies generally prey on the weak. And like I said, the school system has a responsibility to protect its kids.
There are also two sides to every story. I know all of us knew those kids growing up that would provoke, provoke, provoke and then scream bloody murder when someone finally did do something.
No kid should sustain those types of injuries no matter what however.

Go back to givin' them the yardstick across the wrist. or a beating with the nice wooden spoon i remember so vividly from my dad. ya know, the big flat piece of wood with the holes in it. once these kids find out how much that stings, they might think twice about being a bully
and i think a lot of the problem has to do with the parents. they don't discipline their kids and set bad examples

Diggin this up again.... I think it is a 2 fold problem. Society is limiting our ability to parent. Kids are too empowered. My kids brought home some pamphlets basically saying it is okay to call the police on your parents if you feel you are being abused, yesterday. I went nuts. Cussed the principal out. First things out of peoples mouths is bad parenting when kids act an ass. But in the same breath they empower the kids and cripple the parents ability to parent. Kids have no fear of the system because they know the limitations. When I was in school (in the South). I would get my ass whooped several times before I got to get the master ass whoopin. It was the fear and respect that kept me inline. I still be lieve it takes a village to raise a child. But man, to tie a parents arms then bash them is ridiculous.
I know one thing. You will read about me beating the snot out of my kids before you read about them robbing folks, committing burglary and other lewd acts.
I know it is off-topic and a rant. But hey....It kinda has to do with the topic....lol.

That is crazy, that father HAS to step in and have few words with the son about this situation. 4 broken teeth? Fractured skull?! wtf...
I really doubt someone would just bully the kid (that bad) for no reason.... I don't see it happening... For some odd reason i believe there may be two sides of the story but regardless, dad shouldve stepped in long ago and should've transferred the kid somewhere else.
I don't have kids but i do treat my nephew (13yr s old as of Janurary) as my own. He is 13 now and attends laboxing.com on the weekends, also does heavy weight training usually 2-3 nights a week as inspired by his own uncle ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif)
He isn't violent at all, very calm and very respectful. He got picked on by a group of "tongans" a while back for too much "red" and now those same tongans come to his house everyday asking him to hang out with them after he gave one of the "tough" guys a blackeye.
