my g/f birthday is coming up soon and i need to get her something nice. anyone have one? how do you like it? from my understanding, wherever there's an open internet connection, the itouch can connect to it??? i wouldn't buy it if i had to pay an extra monthly fee for internet use and such. as long as she can use it at home on her wireless network then i'm sold.
she's been hinting about the ipod classic, but i figure mine as well spend another $50 to get the itouch.

I have one, it is real nice. It is my first apple product and it is very easy to use. I love being able to hook it up to the car. There are plenty of hacks for it too where you cna add games and other programs. I got an 8 gig and i wish i went 16 gig.

i'm probably going to get an 8gig, the 16gig is too much $$$. the ipod classic is ~$250 and the itouch 8gig is ~$299, from apple's website.
circuit city has them on sale for $282 8gig with the upgraded software. [ January 29, 2008, 10:31 PM: Message edited by: stangin' ]

I was gonna get the Touch but the 80GB Ipod that can play video was $50 cheaper.
If she has a ton of music than she might like the 30GB or 80GB classic. If she likes surfing the internet like most girls do then the Touch is all she needs.
Regular Prices 8GB Touch = $299 80GB Classic = $249

After many many years I've finally learned that if she hints for a certain gift, get her THAT gift and don't try to improve upon it.
