Topic: WTF are these controls?

Ok, I'm forced to come out looking like a noob. I'm a vintage Mustang rookie, and I don't know what these controls are. I can't find anything in the owner's manual or shop manual. One is a lever that loooks like you're supposed to push it with your foot, the other is a knob that can be pulled. What are they?

yup, reminds me of a funny story(be careful you dont do this). i had a 66 dart that i bought that had been sitting for a while. took it on the freeway and my buddy opened the passenger side vent and got a face full of leaves and shit!

That's funny! I'm glad you mentioned that because it might well happen to me.
Yeah, and I figured out the high beam switch already, that was easy. But I didn't want to stomp on that lever without knowing what would happen - doors might open on the freeway, or the hood might pop open, or what?

lol yea you never know with the old cars. On my first 66 stang i almost lost the hood cuz the hold down latch was rigged and broke!

You guys are cracking me up! Actually I had convinced myself earlier that the small knob was some kind of manual choke so the joke is on me.
