Topic: so.. i got pulled over tonight..

i got pulled over just a few minutes ago. I was on the way back from the track... had my helmet on the passenger seat and et street on the back seat. Anyhow, got off the freeway and see a cop at an intersection.
So i immediately got off the Gas(no cats) and kept steady at 40mph(45mph zone) 20 secs go by and he pulls me over.
As soon as he hits the light, i turn off the car and cruise to a stop(i did this, because when i stop, the revs will climb to 1.3krpm and stay there for a few secs and since it's loud...) Anyhow, he comes over and first thing i told him, was.
"i knew you were gonna pull me over"
He was like, how did you know that?
I told him, i'm a clairvoyant and i live down the street so i know this is a "Hot Zone" for the city.
He said, " i can't stop you for that, but can stop you for not having a front plate!" ![[Eek!]](eek.gif)
So.. we talked a bit, went over the basic questions, have you been drinking.. any prior convictions, etc etc.
And He let me go!
He was like, "not having a plate is not serious, but make sure you put it on.
"will do" i replied.
and that was that.. only got a verbal warning......

Similar thing happened to me, except I got the ticket for no front plate. The cop made a u-turn and sat there waiting for me to pass him.
Coolest cop was a highway patrol who pulled me over infront of my house for no seat belt, noticed I had no front plate and asked me about it, and I didn't have my license on me. Let me go with a fix-it ticket for no license.

I love city cops. back when i was younger i used to get pulled over all the time but never given tickets. I was always courteous and they treated me well.
However, the only couple of times that i have been pulled over by CHP(and given fix-it tickets) they were a-holes.

local cops are dicks, chp are a-holes, and sheriffs take the prize at being the worst out of the 3.

thas cool..the funny thing l laugh is when people get pulled over for no front plate...that is the easyest thing for a cop to pull u over for and to top it off more reason for em to pop ur hood...

Yes some cops are cool especially in San Mateo. The cops have a whole different vibe in San Mateo. Rest assure this would not have happened if you were in SSF, SJ, or daly city. Those cops are complete dickheads. Mark my words

To catagorize ALL cops in a certain city are assholes is an ignorant statement.
Even though I have never gotten off without a ticket in any of my encounters with an officer I refuse to say all the cops in Vallejo are assholes. I know there are some good-hearted ones out there that enjoy a nicely modded car on the streets.
Shit there are some cops on this board who seem nice when they post..

shit when i driving home on capitol expy. in san jose at night on the weekends, minding my own business, shitting boulders because im afraid of getting yanked just cuz im in a muscle car.....all i wanna do is go the fuck home, and yet i almost always get pulled the fuck over on capitol for no front plate......which leads to hood popping, and state ref ticket for intake and exhaust!!!!

J... im with you there. i HATE the fu**in CHP.
Read my post from a few days ago "ticket help" chp was a complete asshole, got pulled over the next night by OPD speeding in the tunnel.... talked for a min, id just come from hockey wearing backward adj hat, "wife beater shirt" work pants and boots ; lookin about as white trash as it gets.
Talked with him a few mins about hockey, and my chp ticket, guy let me go. ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif) which is why i never regret applying for OPD, and still will never apply to be the brown noser of every state deparment aka CHP ![[Razz]](tongue.gif)

I got pulled over last year during the big stings. I was on El Camino in my supra and got popped in San Mateo near 17th street by the shopping center. Cop said he pulled me over for no front plates. Then tinted windows. Then nitrous. Then modified exhaust and emissions. So he asks me "How much power does this thing make?" I told him I usually run it at a little over 900 rwhp but I can turn it up or down whenever I want. He doesn't believe me and he calls over a "specialist" in his group who proceeds to tell me that I have a modified intake system. DOHHHH!!! Its only a 6 inch k&n intake, no egr and a lil baby turbo. They were kinda baffled at my car but all the while giving it compliments saying that this is the grand daddy of all cars that they are busting. They give me my license and reg back, ask me what I'm doing here, then they let me go! Talk about cool! I guess San Mateo cops aren't all that bad!

The best one I have herd of is not having a back license plate light, Here is my recent experience w/ the cops I saw some suspicious activity in my neighborhood on the way to taking my girlfriend home.(We both live in Carmichael)On the way back I noticed a couple of Sac County Sheriffs that had a 90's rx-t pulled over. So, I hit a you turn to let them know about it, when I pull over to tell them they blind the shit out of me w/ their flash lights,talk to me like I’m a complete moron, and then this one fuck goes, "put your stock h-pipe back on". (I have flows w/ catted x-pipe) WTF? Im just trying to let them know something that could possibly be happening and they act like complete fucking dicks! Now I know why no one wants to help the cops! Got pulled over visiting my Auntie who lives in Corcoran (a farming town in the valley in the middle of nowhere) driving my uncles stingray with a 427 mashing down a road with no cars in sight except a cop that was behind some tall crops at one of the few interesections. Cop asked who this car belonged to, if it was stolen and if I had permisson to drive it and let me go with a warning which I thought was weird.
A couple hours later at my Aunts party I see the same cop that pulled me over and it turns out the cop is my Uncles buddy and he knew exactly whose car it was. It's true that everyone knows everyone in a small town.

i got lucky i got pulled over in san jose by a sheriff with no license no registration cracked windshield no front plate and was speeding and he let me go he said he knew where i lived to park it inside and register the car i thought for sure i was going to get fucked up to that point all ive had is bad experiences

You can't blame cops for doing their job, if you don't like the laws get them changed. The cops don't make the laws.
I saw yesterday on TV a war protest march and tehy were burning the American flag and holding sign's that said "F The Troops." Those people are idiots because the troops are just following orders just like the Police are following the laws that we had put in place. Who knows why a front lisence plate is needed maybe someone was killed once by someone that didn't have a front lisence plate and we made it a law to require one, i don't know.
Don't blame the cops and if they are a dick to you just imagine dealing with pieces of shit all day when they pull you over they are expecting to deal with another low life loser thats why they act like dicks.

like i said before...you must be the right color if you havent experienced what we are all talkin about. cops DO f with us if we have stangs that stand out(loud/moded)...and if youre the wrong color...it adds to it. its a known fact and everyone says so... cops are cops...and we all like to do shit thats against the law(fun), its only natural.

How about taking some responsibility for your own actions first? Sure, there are always going to be some bad apples in the bunch, but very few cops have a vendetta against you because you are "the wrong color" as you put it.
I also see you are from the East Bay. I live/work in Pinole/Richmond/San Leandro. The majority of cops I see in my day to day life (at least in these areas) are also "the wrong color"
If your car isn't overly loud, you are not slouched in your seat, you have a front plate, and you are following all the laws, very few cops are going to screw with you regardless of what color you are.
If you drive a loud sports car, you are going to get a little more attention from everyone. Its your responsibility to be a little extra careful out on the roads since you are already getting labeled as a 5.0 driver.
