As the title says. I think I want to keep the ponies on my ride for a bit. but looking at sprucing them up. Any advice on doing so? I saw 50resto has the argent paint. DOes it go on well? How many cans for 4 ponies and caps? Any other recommendations?

I used silver metalic touch up spray paint from Kragen with clear coat and they looked really clean. I took the horse of the centers and painted them too.

I dont have any pics. I cleaned them with simple green, wet sanded them with like 320 grit, a couple coats of primer, a few coats of metalic silver and a few coats of clear coat. I used the big cans of Plasticoat paint from Kragen. I cant remember the exact silver I used but if you look at the cap it stands out with the bright metalic sparkle that really clean pony wheels have. I took a lot of time removing the pony emblems from the center caps, you have to be way careful to not snap the tail off. once the paint work is done I put a small dab of Ultra Black RTV gasket maker on the back side of the horse to hold it on. I put several coats of paint on and they looked brand new. I had them for around 6 years and the paint always looked good. I ruined the original finish by sprying cleaner on them when they were hot.
