whats up man. No need to go far. there is a place in san mateo by the railroad, i forget what they are called. they tinted my 03 cobra years ago and it looked flawless, they've also done several of my friends cars. If you get a bubble or something you can always bring it back and they'll redoit free of charge. i want to tint my windows on the 96 too. do u plan on getting all 5 windows done (rear, two small ones and the two front ones)? let me talk to my friend(he knows the owner i think) and try to see if we can get us a deal. the more cars we have the cheaper it'll be.
Is anyone else interested in getting their windows tinted?

i dropped by today. the $200 special is on some el cheapo tint. if i wanted 3m, the price would be $250 for 5windows. his work looks really good but i think ill shop around a bit to get an idea how much it really costs. we'll see what jersey's hookup says

stay away from a-1 mobile window tint in rocklin. I had them come out 3 times for the crappy work they did and would not take care of all the dirt that was between the window and tint.

what's so funny? it's still the best now.. for much cheaper than 200 with better quality than the chepo film they use elsewhere. think it's called autoimage

i think i may have gone to this shop. are they located in burlingame? did u find out if the tint is 3m? with that $250 quote i got from kingtint, even the $200 is sounding like a steal let alone $140. id rather spend a bit morefor the better film than to have to take the car back to replace el cheapo tint that has turned purple over time.

plus that $200 price includes a detail, which makes it worth it, I think. If you just want to get your windows tinted without the detail I'm sure they are plenty of places that tint window for around the $150 range. I'll try and find some.

The place in San Mateo is now called "Best image". It used to be called "preferred image". Frank is the owner, really cool guy. He's the only person I've ever gone to for tint for all my family's and friends cars for the past 8 years. He gives lifetime warranty on all his tint jobs and when it comes to honoring it he gives you no hassle about it. Just drop by his shop and see how much he'll do it for. He usually does all 5 windows for about $160-185. Here's the shop info:
Best Image 1007 S Railroad Ave San Mateo, CA 94402 (650) 287-2600
I'm sure there's a few members on here who had their tint done there. I remeber Purplenotch used to recommend them all the time and used to get a price hookup for everybody. [ August 06, 2006, 02:54 PM: Message edited by: RioredGT ]
