Topic: Involved in a 4 car fender bender collison Who is at fault? Who pays what?

4 cars involved w/ the first 3 at a full stop at a red light. (I'm car two)
-police documented the case and gave us all insurance/driver info (They don't do police reports anymore according the the officer)
4-------3------2-------1 (bunch of other cars) |red light
-Car 4 does not stop at all. No skid marks and I didn't hear tires whining.
-Domino effect.
-I made a scratch on car #1 thats about it.
-my rear bumper needs to be replaced, left taillight is busted, trunk is pushed in about half an inch near the left tail light, front bumber is scratched.

the person that started the domino pays. So being that car 4 didnt stop and hit car 3 and so on. It should all be put on car 4.

I have state farm and they have been great for the 8 years I was with them and the 20+ years my parents have been with them. But I haven't been in any type of collison at all.
I just hope my insurance fights back when car#4 insurance company say we where all to close to one another (i could see tha back tires of the person in front me).

i was in the same situation except it was 3 cars and i was car 2. it is car # 4's fault

My mom was in a situation like this.
The car that started the accident is at fault but you will have to pay for the car that you rearended and the car that hit you from behind will have to pay for your damages. Atleast thats how it worked in my moms case. The lady my mom hit though didn't want us to pay for her damages ![[Eek!]](eek.gif) ![[worship]](graemlins/worship.gif)
