im having trouble opening firefox as a browser it keeps saying its running but not responding and restart my comp.but before that firefox closed all of a sudden and a little window poped up and had a default profile and another with my name to choose from and it wouldnt let me choose my name. becuase it wasnt reponding so i restarted my comp. now i cant open firefox at all. help please.

try having a look around on the firefox website for help.

It sounds like your profile died, so I linked you a method to back it up, create a new one, then transfer the settings over from your old one.


just to cover all the bases though, if you check task manager do you have a firefox.exe process running? Kill that if so.

thanks blind, got everything back to normal, somehow my comp switched profiles all of a sudden and the profile was messed up.
