Last night my g/f and I were going out to grab some food @ chili's. When we found out that the wait would be at least 35 minutes, I noticed that a new building was put up near the PETCO.
So, we drove up there real quick and when we reached the door we were told "tonight is by invite only, but we had a few people cancel on us, so go right in."
Here's the best part, when we sat down, we were told they dont open to the public with a full menu until the 15th of FEB. And since it was like a training night for their staff, all the food we ate was FREE!
Overall, pretty nice atmosphere, friendly people and good food/beer.
Just thought I would tell all the locals about it and suggest that they check it out.

The only things I didnt like were, when I went to order a beer, the waitress didnt want to accept my military ID as a valid form of ID??? I asked why and she said it was one of their policies, but she would take it up with the manager. Well, I got my beer.
The manager later came over, and I told him it would be a big stupid mistake if that was their policy, with travis being such a large base.
And the 2nd thing I didnt like? I wanted a steak bad, but they had a limited menu last night. But I wont bitch about free food tho!
MMMMMmmmm Angus burger......

From what I've been told, the 2 ID policy is state-mandated...not the business. Go to Star's Bar and Grill, they will tell you the same thing. Businesses are picky about the Mil ID thing because of the plastic coating on the back. Too easy to fake a id!

That might be true, raley's almost didnt sell me some beer the other night when I showed them my mil and WA state ID. They (BJ's) weren't cool with even the 2 id setup at 1st. That's all I was talking about.
