i just was wondering how much can i do to my car without voiding the warranty. Can i have an sct tuner, or intake modifications? how about suspension work?
I guess if or when something goes wrong i just put the stock parts back on before i go take it in, but that seems so shady and i dunno... but let me knwo what you think!

there have been guys that have been denied warranty coverage on somethings... it seems to be hit or miss with dealers and warranty work

Any type of powertrain computer mod such as a chip or re-flash uploaded from a hand held tuner will automatically void the powertrian warranty. Adding a cold air kit may also void a powertrain warranty. Aftermarket suspensions will not necessarily void your warranty, but if you install an aftermarket suspension and have problems like a noise when going over bumps or something like that, then you will be on your own as a dealer will Deni a warranty claim not and fix a suspension noise on a modded car.
