long story, i was in the middle of buying a house,in escrow, my inspection contingencie has passed and i have until august 2nd for my loan contingincies. meaning if i cannot get a loan by then i get my 2,000 back(earnest deposit), well i was at chevron and we all got layed off. notified my realtor and he doesent want to tell my lender i got layed off, he just wants to lie and tell the seller there house is messed up(which its perfectly fine, and we dont even have inspection contingincies), the selles contract requires a denial letter and a date and they will release my 2000, but the realtor wants to lie and go a different route which i dont want to do....i think hes scared to tell the lender cuz maybe they wont give me a loan in the future but i dont care i just want my money back....anything i can do because i dont want to lie and i wanna be strait forward

Why cant you just go over his head or make your demands? It is your house and your payment and your loan. I say just put your foot down.

Tell dude (realtor), say Hey, I want to cancel the loan and get my refund back, and when ur ready, u'll buy one when the time is right for u and ur family. Tell him ur not comfortable, or however u feel about the whole thing....
