So the car in question is a 00 gt auto, k&n filter w/silencer removed and pypes catback fwiw.

I am thinking if going to 4.10 gears an am wondering what traction will be like, I have a set of all season (Capitol brand) 245/45/17 tires on 99-01 cobra wheels right now and am wondering at what point I will need to invest in a wider/better tire. American muscle sells staggered wheels for 1200-1300 mounted with tires, and I was wondering if that is something worth investing in. Any input would be appreciated, thanks.

you will be fine as far as traction, unless your drag racing. the width of the tire is going to make little to no difference, its the compound. throw some et streets on what you have if you want traction

depends on how you drive... spinning your tires now is gonna be ridiculously easy. go up to like a 285 at least in the rear. as far as pricing just call around, most places will price match competitors and online quotes... i worked for americas tire for years and had to deal with that shit all the time.
