Ok guys so tax time is coming up and was planning on swapping in a low mile pi motor from 99+ mustang gt in my 98 gt 126k miles. What do you guys would be the most cost effective route and best bang for my but just looking to reach mid 13's without nitrous and not sure if its worth doing added compression head swap on my current motor ??

Vote head swap why give you a bump in compression and hp over the pi alone thought i may have sent this link to you modularheadshop.com has all the swap details and more for building a budget 300hp npi block w/pi heads combo.

Putting on the PI head on your NPI block with get you about 10.5:1 CR assuming your heads with need to be milled a bit. And this setup with get you more Hp over just putting a full PI engine in. BUT is you care about "SMOG". You won't pass smog using a NPI block on PI heads. And if all your wanting is mid 13s a stock PI enigine (full enigine) with some bolt-on, will get you there. And this way you don't have to worry about smoging your car ever 2 years. I'm not saying a full PI engine is better then a PI head swap on a NPI block. I'm just giving you some food for thought.
