The problem is to keep the car on you have to hold the key on run position and as soon as you let go of the key, the car turns off. How do I fix this?

you probably need a new ignition switch.

common problem, simple cure.
Replace the ignition electrical switch down on the column, problem solved [Big Grin]

Thanks man. Ill replace 2mor.. Also would a bad ignition switch make blinkers not work..

it may when mine was going out if I hit a bump it would turn off my radio and dash lights and then it would go back on then later on if I hit bumps it would kill the car along with everything else

Problem fixed it was the ignition switch..
