What is the correct back spacing I need to look for??

I'm using 03 Cobra brakes: 13in front with 94-95 spindles, MM K-member & A-arm.

11.65 rear with fox body length axles

I went to 50resto and the Bullitt rims I want state they wont clear Cobra brakes, yet American Muscle has a set that appears will fit. When I spoke to the tech at 50resto, he said I need to use 94-04 wheel specs. So I looked and depending on the wheel the specs are all different [Confused] [Confused] [Confused]

SOOOO that;s why I'm asking... What are the numbers I need to look for? so I don't purchase something that does not fit.

for the front I want 17x9
Rear (I.m still undecided) because with fox length axles I believe the offset will be different than the front? If that's the case then I will do 17x10... IF I can use the same rim on the rear then I will do 17x9

Thanks

Rich

94-04 fitment and backspacing is the same.

the 17x9 should be close 6 inches backpsace. I think its like "5.94"

Backspace on 17x10.5 inch rims should be between 6.5-7 inches depending on the rim and manufacturer. most 94-04 ford reps in 10.5 are 6.8 inch backspace.

10" on the back will need a 6.3-6.5 back spacing. you can use x9" all around but will probably want to put a spacer in the back to make it look more flush. I wonder why the bullets wont clear cobras??

Even the 17x8 bullits will fit, since 01 bullits came with "cobra" brakes and 17x8 bullit wheels from the factory..

EXACTLY what I was saying... 50Resto says their rim wont clear due to manufacturer machining?? (I don't have the email on this computer). I've seen at least 2 threads where after market repos didn't fit, one actually hit the caliper! [Eek!]

Which is what I'm trying to avoid [patriot]

if 50resto 1's dont clear then just dont order from them.. call o.e. wheels llc or american muscle or afs wheels.. they should have the ones with 17x9"5.94" backspace and 17x10.5"6.8" that clear cobra brakes.. the 17x9's that I had where from O.E. wheels an they cleared my 13 inch cobra brakes no problem..

Thanks everyone!!

Until I bite the Bullitt, here is the wheel I'm considering but in 17" and Anthracite. I've only seen this version once and on a fox. Looked very nice

You took the link down?
Those rims look nice. Just not keen on the rear width but it would fit a factory five nicely.
