i want to scuff my gt bumper and primer it white what steps should i take to do this?what type of sand paper should i use?the bumper is in near perfect condition its just grey at the moment

I finally got my rear bumper, my dads friend is gonna paint it for me. Wanna see if he can paint yours too? Imma paint it all glossy like my car tho.

Red Scotch Brite the whole thing really well, then take Grey Scotch Brite with soap and water and go over it again really well. After that it'll be ready to spray.

yeah what he said, if it dosent have any major defects you shouldnt have to actually sand down any of it. just scuff n shoot. before you primer it make absolute sure you clean and de-grease it with good spray on prep/de-greaser!! if you can find a place that does it, get some primer with flex additive, some places can put it in a rattle can with the primer. it will keep the paint from cracking when the bumper flexes! [Wink]

when i painted mine i used krylon paint n primer its a 2 n 1 paint and works really well.
