Car been sitting for 8 years. less than a quarter gas in tank. What do you recommend? Add new gas with some additive such as injector cleaner, drain all gas out start fresh or maybe just get a new gas tank? I hear putting hot water in the tank helps get rid of some rust.

Not really worth the time/effort/cost cleaning it out when you can pick up a new one for $60

Price match a new and used. Gotta at least beat that price. Unless your talking about with sending and fuel pump unit included then that's a deal.

Very tempting though I just bought a brand new fuel pump with the housing installed it already so I can't return it. Plus I gotta pick it up all the way in valejo right.

i had to drop my gas tank in my 91 f150 for the same problem i got a bunch of heavy degreaser and power washed the hell out of mine, depending on how bad the rust is though you might have to buy another one. check sac-mustang.com
