My brother recently purchased a 100 amp tuff stuff alternator, fits in a stock bracket but it comes with positive and negative and it comes with a regulator already on it, does it affect it if he dosent connect the old hook ups? The alternator is for a fox by the way

i have a powermaster alteranator and I didn't connect the harness onto the alternator and I'm doing fine, been having it like that for 3 months already.
