Does it matter how they get balanced (through the center bore or by the lug holes)?
Weld said the Drag Lights are lug centric and I may get poor results if balanced through the bore like a standard wheel, is this true?

Take them to a reputable shop for balancing. Welds have a floating center and I have had a shop F-up a set smoking down the balancing cone and crushing the center of the wheel.
