my 3.73s were installed yesterday and when i pulled the diff out i saw that the ears on my clutches had broken off on one side. the clutch disks were replaced (now i hit posi super easy), but i still think i need to throw a full rebuild kit on my trac lok. but now im wondering if it would really be worth it to invest the extra 350 bucks and buy a detroit tru-trac? ive heard they are stronger and get to the ground better, just wondering what your experiences are with them.

I would just go with a rebuilt trac-lok that is shimmed tighter and maybe install a F-150 s-spring.

It's NOT illegal. It's just frowned upon, like masturbating on an airplane.

speaking of shim install. i used a dial indicator when checking backlash, and it read 13.5 thousandths. spec is 8-15. as it breaks in will the backlash increase to above 15?

had a tru trac in my car with 373s and loved it. plus youll never need to rebuild it againg and it is quite the hefty piece of equipment. to me it was worth the 560 i paid for it
