I got a replacement airbag for my 90 fox. I noticed the plug connector from the wheel to the bag is differnt. Is it year specific? Can i just change the wheel maybe?

90-93 MUSTANG all carry the the same connector end. If you have one with a different plug it was removed from another Ford Vehicle, Van,F150,Taurus,SHO,Thunderbird etc... DO NOT SPLICE/CHANGE THE END, seen this before and I couldnt help but laugh(shorted out, activated the bag, smacked customer in face) I would get the correct bag, they arent that expensive.

I'm pulling mine off my 90 GT on Saturday with the entire steering column. I'm switching to the world of tilt. [Smile]

i noticed that the controls on my steerig wheel (horn and cruise control) have stopped working. i am thinking it might be due to a faulty connection although i do not know what would have caused it.

does anyone knowh where this connection might be located?

Yes I plan to do the same myself. Never done it before. Can you list the steps once your swap is complete.
