why would you tune a pre 94 mustang? all you really need to do is set the timing and fuel pressure thats if you have heads, cam, intake

take it to a tuner. a tune helps out alot with drivabilty problems with H/C/I. not totally necessary. I was running my setup with no tune.

with a tune you'll gain better drivablity than hp. Its up to you if the moneys worth it. but if you do decide to do it get a custom one. no mail order crap

stock displacement hci 302 or 306 will be just fine with the timing set and fuel pressure adjusted...now if your boosted(supercharger, turbo etc...than a tune will help..other than that take it from someone who has done the research
