Noticed something unusual the other day. When my car gets up into the 5-6k RPM range the battery gauge dips to the low side. Also notice that my lights dim. The battery is only a few months old. Is this a sign of a weakening/bad alternator? Can it be anything else? Car is a 98 GT, pretty much stock besides exhaust mods.

Thanks for the tips. I will check up on the items mentioned. Are there any other signs to a bad alternator?

I'm going through a similar issue... Most likely Alt is on the way out.
