Damn.

My car has started leaking oil from the oil filler gasket. I am assuming the PCV valve is going out, causing blow by.

Does this sound logical? I just passed smog 3 weeks ago, and while the tech mentioned my NOX were high, I still passed easily.

So if my PCV valve is going out, is it safe to assume I need to pull the valve cover and replace the gasket for the oil fill tube?

i had the same problem in my 03 gt and im runing full synthetic so i dont change it often. and i was using a tough guard oil filter . all i did was change the oil and filter. and it just stoped. over time the seal wets worn and will start to leak. so id do the oil change n if same problem occurs the do the next thing.
