i have this strange ticking noise comming from my car.when i rev it or speed up it ticks faste.but i can only seem to hear it 1st and 2nd gear.when i slap it into 3rd it seems to go away or enough to the point i cant hear it.any info would help thanks guys.by the way i have a 04 mach1 [patriot]

Most likely it's a exhaust leak.

Hopefully its just an exhaust leak, but being that its a 32V Mach, it could be the dreaded head tick.

i was thinking it was a leak as well.i hope so.that will give me a good reason to spend some money on a new 1.i have noticed my car doesnt pull as hard as it use to.or i could be use to it so it seems that way .lol

exhaust leak, the extra air in the exhaust from the leak is probably messing with the 02 sensors causing the power loss.

just stoped by a local muffler shop to see if i had an exhuast leak and they said its something internal.my car keeps cutting off on me when im comming to a complete stop.NEED HELP ASAP and what has to be done about this head ticking your talkin about epik.thanks
