I just picked up these suspension parts for my 91. since the lower control arms have spherical bearings instead of soft bushings, should I get my torque boxes welded up & reinforced before I install them... If I do need to weld them up, what is a good kit, at a reasonable price & who should I have weld them up.... The car is mostly gonna be a street car, but I do plan on launching it on slicks at the track from time to time....

Are you gonna bolt it in, or weld it?

in addition to welding the torque boxes on the car, the battle boxes are more for when you've torn the ones on the car IMO.

Who welded em? My axle bushings are fine, & I would install all of my rear suspension now, but I am worried that my Tq boxes will get F'd up since the rear LCA's are solid...

What sucks about those reinforcement plates is they will not work on a 90 and up because the torque box humps down. You would either have to cut the plate or bang your torque box up [Eek!] Which would obviously make them weaker. Basically they wouldn't work for Epik, they are good tho I have them on my car...

I had the Wolfe kit that looks like the ones jaejae linked to, but just bolted them in. after a couple hundred passes the uppers pulled away about 3/4"

Now I am using this: Wild Rides S-Box

The "bolt in" plates are garbage. even welded mine still would have pulleed away like they did. The plate that goes inside the car collapsed and looked more like a bowl !!! LOL

John: I think just removing the rear seat, insulation and crap under it would be best before welding. I'm doing this as well.
