TECH TALK

Hardest part about the whole process is balancing the tank & not getting fuel in your face when you disconnect the lines from the pump. Other than that ist straight forward. Novice work

yup. if you're doing the job on jackstands, use a floor jack with a piece of plywood on it to balance the tank.. and make sure its close to empty. makes it alot easier.

Disconnect all the clips from the fuel lines.. "Pop off" (be careful as its held in place with a gasket) the line from the gas tank, its right behind the fuel pump (as your facing the tank). Remove the bolt that holds the filler neck to the tank.

lower the tank, so its parallel(same angle) with filler neck and slowly push the tank away from the neck until its out.

watch that you don't tear the gasket for the filler tube.. you can only get them threw ford. and there about 40-45 bucks.. [patriot]
and if you have a tranny jack it helps..
