When i start my car cold i here a loud screeching noise coming from it sounds like behind the motor near the the firewall ... Any suggestions 94 gt 5spd,, It only does this when i start the car ice cold.. It goes away after like 2 seconds but doesnt sound good or right. Thanks

Sounds like a belt noise. Check your belts and make sure they are tight and not frayed

My 93 GT is doing the exact same thing. I think it is the starter not retracting quick enough when the engine starts and you let off the key. The sound does not come from the front of the motor, but the back where the starter is engaging.
