i got a 91 5.0 with a auto tranny the car is all stock when i slam on the gas paddel on drive it would shift at 3,000 rpm if its on over drive still do the same but if i put it to 1 and shift my way up it would redline is that the tranny going out if i just put in a new shift kit would it solve the problem or i would need a new tranny no tranny leak too thank you for reading this post anything would help

how is the shift does it smoothly engage the next gear or does it rev and clunk into gear?

iirc, if you have a messed up tranny, a shift kit or trickshift tranny fluid will make it worse.

it shift smooth when it shift it doesnt hasitate but it shift at 3000 rpm when slam on gas
